Last night Ana flew into Nice from Sydney via Doha. She then drove to Grasse, booked into her hotel, and went to the supermarket. She is making herself at home. She is there to learn the techniques of the Master Perfumers of Grasse. For centuries Grasse has been the world’s capital of perfumery. Famous perfumeries such as Molinard, Galimard, and Fragonard are headquartered here. Two thirds of all French natural aromatics are produced in the town. Ana will be attending formal classes with top perfumers and learning the secrets of some the best perfumers in the world.
