Ana is very fortunate to have Elisabeth Proal for her teacher. Elisabeth Proal is a “nose”, a perfumer with an exquisite poetic ability to create fragrances. She was discovered by Chanel when she was working at Givaudan Roure Centre de recherche in 1987 as a spectroscopist, and worked for Chanel for 25 years. She has vast experience in the perfume industry working at the highest levels of a famous perfume house.
“Realizing my dreams and helping others achieve theirs has always been a great source of motivation and pleasure in my life”
She is a chemist who studied at Montpellier University, one of the oldest universities in the world with such famous alumni as François Rabelais, Nostrodamus, Carolus Clusius, and Paul-Jacques Curie.
Perfumes are a family affair for Elisabeth. Her husband, Eric Proal, is Director of Payan Bertrand, an ancient perfume house that has been awarded the status of living heritage by the French government. They have been making aromatic compounds in Grasse since 1854.
Ana has reported a beautiful emotional connection with Elisabeth and everything published about her indicates that she is passionate about bringing to life the dreams of those who come to her to learn.
